Submissions

The final exam is a porfolio submission.

Each assignment during the semester must be handed in within the deadline and approved by the teacher in order to sit the final exam. Deadlines for each submission will be given at the start of the semester.

Deadlines for module submissions (of draft papers).  

  • Text and discourse analysis: Wednesday 26. October, within 15:00 in Fronter.
  • Field work methods: Wednesday 2. November, within 15:00 in Fronter.
  • Archive studies and historical methodology: Wednesday 9. November, within 15:00 in Fronter.
  • Topics in literature studies: Wednesday 16. November, within 15:00 in Fronter.
  • Topics in linguistic methodology: Wednesday 23. November, within 15:00 in Fronter.

Take notice ​that these are the deadlines for the preliminary submissions, i.e. your drafts  papers only. The final papers will be submitted as a portfolio submission on 1 December 2016. In order to be allowed to make the final portfolio submission, you need to have your course instructor approve your preliminary drafts . 

The porfolio submission consists of 5 assignments:

  1. Essay on a given subject from the first part of the course.
    Lenght: 3-4 pages.
    This essay is to be presented in the seminars with a 12-15 minute presentation. Prior to the presentation, each student must hand in a Powerpoint and notes in Fronter.
    Deadline for presentation and submission of notes will be decided in class.
    Deadline for essay: in portfolio submission 1. December.
     
  2. Essay on a given subject from the module: Text and discourse analysis
    Length: 4-5 pages.
     
  3. Submission from a module of your choice.
    Length 4-5 pages.
     
  4. Submission from a module of your choice.
    Length 4-5 pages.
     
  5. Project description.
    5 pages, excluding front page and litterature. Endnote is preferred for references.
    Deadline for submission: 1. December in final portfolio submission.

The submissions have to meet academic standards with introduction of topic for discussion, main part with discussion and conclusion. Submissions should meet format standards regarding references.
