TeenCity is a workshop where where participants worked together, across age and sector, to design plans for implementing spaces and solutions for teen spaces in the city. By doing this, they informed ideas for action at the same time as building relationships across different age groups and sectors interested in building more inclusive cities.

After meeting with a wide range of stakeholders, this student group realized that the relevant actors for this issue (different city departments, community groups and teens) were struggling to connect and learn from each other.
Did you know providing youth a part-time job is a great way to invite youth into spaces? There are good examples of youth friendly space in Oslo that TeenCity learned this from. For example, @hagecrew and Ideelt Security. Youth offers are sparse in select neighborhoods and often have insecure funding. This group takes the first step to answering if youth spaces can be welcomed into municipality processes and offerings to spread and stabilize the benefits.

TeenCity worked with members of the Car-free Livable City project at The Agency for Planning and Building Services A video was made about their workshop and shared on the Bilfritt byliv Facebook page. It has over 35K views!
