In this concert the Academic Choir Association and Oslo Chamber Orchestra will highlight three modern, Norwegian composers who all create beautiful and magnificent soundscapes with a nordic distinctiveness.

Ola Gjeilo is particular known for compositions with almost otherwordly sounds, that are being sung by choirs and vocal groups all over the world. They will perform his Sunrise Mass in four rates for mixed choir and orchestra.

Kim André Arnesen is especially known for melodic and sonorous works, and they will perform four of his a cappella songs for mixed choir.

The Chamber Orchestra, with concert master Inga Mathilde Gorset, will play the beautiful and atmospheric work Sarek for string orchestra by the northern Norwegian composer and musician Terje Bjørklund.
