How to understand Norway's Working Culture?

The aim of this workshop is to give the participants insight into the social norms and the unwritten rules of the Norwegian working environment.

As a newcomer to Norway, you might often find yourself not having a clue as to what is happening around you. Join this workshop and find out!

Objectives

Why do your Norwegian colleagues leave at 4pm? Why are there so many meetings in the Norwegian working culture where everyone talks before the boss makes a decision? Ever had trouble getting your point across in a Norwegian way? You might need a crash course in working with Norwegians.

We hope that this work shop will give practical insight into what you can expect in Norway, help you to improve your skills in communicating with your Norwegian colleagues and leaders. It will also address the Norwegian view on life/work balance, how Norwegians socialize and thereby help you integrate in the Norwegian society in general.

We also seek Norwegian participants who can give a Norwegian view in the group tasks, and who wants to learn about how Norwegians at work are perceived.
