About the holiday resort

The property has a 2.25 acre plot with two houses, a main house of around 100 sqm that sleeps nine people and an annexe that sleeps two. The main house has a large living room, suitable for use for small seminars.

Location

Furufjell is situated on Spjærøy island between Sydengen and Myrvoll on Hvaler.

Directions

When taking the E6 from Oslo, take exit 11 over to National Road 110 towards Fredrikstad. Then follow National Road 108 towards Hvaler. After crossing the bridge to Spjærøy, turn left three times. First towards Sydengen, then in the direction of Myrvoll and then the private gravel road to “Furufjell”.  

Rooms

Main cabin: Hallway, three bedrooms, bathroom with shower and toilet, kitchen/diner (dining area seating four) and combined living and dining room. 

Children under the age of tree years stay free. For the main cabin there are 9 beds. If all the 9 beds are in use, and you travel with children under 3 years, you have to bring your own travel cot with duvet and pillow.

The annexe consists of an open plan living room and kitchen. The living room area has a sofa bed and the kitchen area has dining space for four. The toilet and sink can be found in a separate room just outside the entrance. The annexe has an outdoor shower and can therefore be used only during the summer season due to the outdoor shower and water supply being available only during summer. 

Beds

The main cabin sleeps nine people across three bedrooms:

  • 1 double bedroom
  • 1 bedroom with a bunk bed and single bed (sleeps three) (the room have space for travel cot)
  • 1 bedroom with two bunk beds (sleeps four) (the room have space for travel cot)

The annexe sleeps two. The annexe has a double sofa bed. An additional single guest bed can be provided in the annexe.

Amenities

Each house is equipped with a TV, refrigerator with freezer compartment, large oven and a small microwave, as well as crockery and saucepans, as well as duvets and pillows. There is a barbecue available for each cabin. Outdoor furniture and a parasol are also available for each cabin.

The living room in the main cabin may be used for e.g. seminars/other academic meetings.

Parking

There is adequate space to park cars at three different locations on the site. The neighbour’s parking space is marked “Private” and must not be used.

Pets

For reasons of hygiene, we do not permit pets. This applies both indoors and outdoors throughout the entire property.

Activities

Swimming
There are excellent opportunities for both hiking and swimming on all of the Hvaler islands. The closest swimming opportunity is the beach at the Myrvoll holiday home. This is located around five minutes’ walk from the cabins. There are also great conditions for swimming at Spjærøykilen, around 4 km to the south or on Vesterøy, which is less than 10 minutes’ drive away by car.

Fishing
Fishing for sea trout is permitted all year round. Fishing sites can be found at several locations on Hvaler.
