Externally funded research
Externally funded research projects can increase the Department's and individual staff members' room for maneuver.
Externally funded applications with ILOS as project owner are in most cases developed by permanent research staff. If conditions permit, temporary staff members in the final phase of their grant period (PhD candidates, postdoctoral fellows) will also be able to apply for external funding.
The Research Support team at ILOS consists of the research leader and research advisers (financial adviser for budget). The team provides technical and administrative support during the application process. It is a prerequisite for support that the Research Support Team is contacted early in the process. This is also the case when one is invited as partner in an application to be submitted from another institution.
