Cecilie Mathiesen has contributed to practical and psychosocial HSE work at the Department of Biosciences. She is now a
department head at EVOGENE.
Her contributions range from laboratory safety to ergonomics and office interiors - to being a driving force in the section’s work for HSE and work environment culture.
Her work has undoubtedly increased understanding and knowledge of work with health, environment, and safety at IBV. Cecilie inspires other employees to good lab work, where risk is documented and under control.
About the prize
The University’s HSE prize is awarded annually to a person or group at UiO who has made a significant contribution to the working environment at their unit or UiO as a whole. The winner receives NOK 50,000.
University Director Arne Benjaminsen awarded the prize for 2022 during the annual LAMU seminar. The seminar gathers all the local working environment committees (LAMU).
