Oslo Municipality prohibits all use of fire in forests, open countryside, and enclosed areas, including designated fire pits, parks, and green spaces. The ban is due to the extremely dry conditions in Oslo, which pose a high risk of grass, heath, and forest fires.
The temporary regulation is in effect until 30 June.
Consequently, everyone who had planned summer gatherings with barbecuing on campus will have to make alternative plans.
