Exercise during working hours: the spring course schedule is ready!

All employees may use 1.5 working hours per week to excercise. Make use of courses offered this spring semester: floorball, yoga, strength training and neck/shoulder are some of the activities you may choose from.

All employees at the University may exercise 1.5 hours a week during working hours. The programme contributes to reaching Helsedirektoratet's recommodations to increase the general activity level and reduce time spent sitting still. Exercise by yourself or sign up for joint activities with your colleagues.

The Occupational Health Service and the Company Sports Team UiOBIL are arranging different kinds of activities, for example floorball, yoga and neck-shoulder class.

Drop in courses

Most courses are drop in classes which don't require registration.

The following courses allow only limited access and require registration:

The spots on some of the group activities (such as pilates and strength training) are quickly filled and a waiting list will be created if needed.

Walk or run the Blindern trail

A 2.6 km circular trail for walking or running has been developed on Blindern Campus.

Do break exercises!

Prevent stiff neck and back pain. Watch the movies demonstrating simple exercises that you can do during the work day.
