The construction of the New National Hospital necessitates drilling along approximately 114 meters in order to lay pipes. This means that there will be a lot of noise and possibly vibrations from the drilling on the north side of Domus Medica. The drilling will start from immediately outside Goods Reception and extend up to the Rotunda near the National Hospital tram stop.

The drilling began on 27th May and according to the contractor, this phase of the work will be completed on 8th July. Sensors in the building monitor noise levels and vibrations and there are specific permitted limits for both.

Scheduled for completion in 2031, the New National Hospital will be extended by over 140,000 square meters.
