The construction of the New National Hospital has consequences for those taking the tram to Domus Medica. There will be a bus service replacing trams on tram lines 17 and 18 from John Collet's place to Rikshospitalet, from September 16thy 2024 to January 2025.
From January 2025, the tram will run again, but the terminus will be located under the Ring Road, i.e. at the present last-but-one stop, Gaustadalléen.
Not until 2031 will there be a new tram stop at Rikshospitalet.
Alternatives for travel
There are several other options to get to Domus Medica:
- Metro line 1 to Gaustad
- Lines 4 and 5 to Forskningsparken
- The bus lines on Ring 3 and
- Bus 40 to Rikshospitalet
- Bus 25 to Domus Athletica
