Dean of Research, Jan Bjålie, talks about the K.G. Jebsen Foundation, which has awarded a total of 12 centres of excellence in research to MED, and that has now published a call for proposals for two new centres. Our pre-qualification process with Oslo University Hospital is underway.

The Jahre Awards from 2022 will go to researchers and research fields in basic cancer research, research on metabolic changes in cancer and diabetes, and treatment of cardiac arrest. The main award very deservedly goes to our professor Harald Stenmark.

Research adviser Veslemøy Ramsfjell followed up on researchers and coordinated the process that led to two new centres of excellence. The Dean of Research, Jens Petter Berg, chaired the panel of experts providing advice and feedback to applicants throughout the process.
