The aim of the candidate survey is to gain better knowledge about which factors are important in the transition from studies to work, as well as how the candidates assess the working life relevance of the studies and the various activities throughout the study period.
At the Faculty of Medicine, we received responses from 1550 graduates, which is 53% of those who received the survey. Most responses were received from candidates who have completed PhD education (39% of the answers at the faculty), then those who have taken a master’s degree (30%), the professional study programme in medicine (28%) and bachelor’s degree (3%).
Looking forward to results from each programme of study
Currently, the results are only available at the faculty level, so we cannot distinguish between the different programmes, but more detailed results will be ready in the spring.
For the faculty as a whole, 90% report that they got a job before or within 3 months after graduation, and 89% say that their education was relevant or highly relevant in relation to their current job. The public sector is the place of work for 82%, and 95% report working full-time.
We believe there is much to learn from this type of graduate survey and look forward to getting results for the various programmes of study. The results will be used to further develop the programmes so that students are also well prepared and attractive in the future labour market.
