Happy Easter!

Dean Hanne Flinstad Harbo talks about what is happening at the faculty. The results are now available from the ARK survey, the Dean will present the first teaching award and, not least, she wishes everyone a well-deserved Easter holiday.

Dear employees,
Thank you for all your responses to the ARK survey. There was an increase in response rate from the previous survey, from 66.4% to 67.7% during this year’s survey. UiO as a whole has a response rate of 70.9%

Good results for ARK 2024

The overall result for the faculty looks good compared to our own survey in 2022, and compared to this year’s results for UiO as a whole.

The survey also shows that our employees experience their work situation differently. It is now important that we talk about the reports at the unit level.

Work will now begin on follow-up at the units

Over the next few weeks, the units will review the reports and discuss the results. The individual units will create measures that can have a positive effect on the working environment. I encourage all employees to participate in this work, including those people who have not taken the survey.

Join the award ceremony

Johanne Egge Rinholm, Marit Inngjerdingen and Jan Ivar Røssberg have all been nominated for the new teaching award that will be presented after Easter. The winner will been voted for by medical students. Pro-Dean of Studies Magnus Løberg and I will present the award in Domus Medica at lunchtime on 2 April. Students are invited, please join us as well. We have created the new award to recognise and stimulate the work on the development of teaching in the professional study programme in medicine.

Happy Easter!

Thank you for the work you are all doing to fulfil our common social mission. I hope everyone has a great and well-deserved Easter holiday.

Kind regards, Hanne

The Science Library’s annual Nerdy Science Cake competition is a fun form of research dissemination. Andrea Schwartz, Elizabeth Otti Surgucheva and Ragnhild Eskeland entered the cake ‘Germ- a- licious’ made by their entire research group: Kromation Bilolgi. Read more in Titan.
