Meeting places that invite dialogue

Dear colleagues,

Work on equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) is very important to the University and the Faculty of Medicine. 

Earlier this semester, we focused on our work on anti-racism through the seminar Et antirasistisk medisinsk fakultet? and last week the Faculty hosted the Kvinners helse Breakfast Meeting, discussing the follow-up to the Women’s Health Committee’s report (NOU 2023:5) and the National Health and Interaction Plan (published 1 March 2024).

An eager audience attended the Litteraturhuset bright and early in the morning, where they listened to excellent presentations about blind spots relating to gender in education, the primary health service, trauma and mental health, maternity care and health resources. We would like to thank everyone who participated and Martin Gray, who did a wonderful job of leading the discussions.

We feel it is important to invite people to meet up and discuss relevant topics alongside the excellent work that is being undertaken by both students and employees. Our efforts to promote diversity, equality and inclusion and combat racism and discrimination need to take place at all levels of the organisation, every single day.
