The Research Council of Norway (NFR) has funded two projects from the Department. The projects are EcoForest and #AgriDeer. Head of EcoForest is Håvard Kauserud, and head of #AgriDeer is Atle Mysterud.

Kjetil Lysne Voje has been awarded 1.5 million Euros in research grants from the European Research Council (ERC). He will take a closer look at how changes in the evolution of species occur over time.

Just before the summer, Section for Meteorology and Oceanography, Dept. of Geosciences moved from temporary premises at Ullevål Stadium to the Blindern campus. Now they are finally in place in nice newly renovated premises on the 2nd floor of Kristine Bonnevies hus.

The Nordic network of imaging platforms, Bridging Nordic Microscopy Infrastructures BNMI, has been awarded NOK 2.5 million from NordForsk. The Norwegian coordinating node in this network is NorMIC Oslo, an infrastructure at the Department of Biosciences, UiO.
