2. The Human Time Data Project

This is a HUB e-infratructure project that aims at developing a better infrastructure for handling of time series data. This will be particularly relevant for EEG, MRI and eyetracking data. One person will be employed for 3 years and work between the department and USIT.

3. This year suggested use of resources

Research positions

We have a budget cut that reduces the resources from six to five 20 % positions in 2018

There is a need for 20 – 40 % of assistant work for video analysis and “nettskjema” and trancription support. The board suggest that 20 % from now until December is set aside for this. Head of research will cooperate with Jon Monsen to find a person for this job.

There is a need for a 20 % assistant to coordinate the activities in the Phillips Scanner at IVS. At the moment head of research has found a one year external funding for this position. Audun Torgersen is an experienced coordinator that will hold this position until april 2019.

There is a need for at least one 20% assistant to coordinate the usage of the lab areas in the basement and first floor. The board suggest that a 20% assistant is hired to start up coordination in  2018.

There is a need for a data manger/engineer position to help all the projects in data collection and analysis. The board suggest that a 40 % of assistant resources can be co- financed with external funding (I. e. RITMO to 100 % lab engineer/Data manager.

There is a need for a 20% position in social psychology lab. The board advice that more money is set aside in future budgets to be able to finance this.

There is a need for a 20% support position in the eye tracking labs. The board advice that more money is set aside in future budgets to be able to finance this.

4. New regulations

The new “personvernlov” that will be implemented in May 2018 is stricter than the old one and more of the responsibility for handling data correctly is now placed on the institutional level. This will probably put more pressure on PSI’s internal ethical Board.
