Cand.med. Joakim Øverbø at Institute of Clinical Medicine will be defending the thesis “Hepatitis E Virus Epidemiology and Vaccine Response: Studies from Norway and Bangladesh” for the degree of PhD (Philosophiae Doctor).

After four productive and rewarding years, the University of Oslo Nordic initiative, the thematic research group Futuring Sustainable Nordic Business Models (Futuring Nordics), is coming to an end, and it is time to reflect and celebrate.

Hallvard Fossheim is Committee leader for the National Committee for Research Ethics in Science and Technology (NENT) and Professor of philosophy at UiB.

Department seminar. Morten Håvarstein is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Economics, University of Oslo. He will present the paper: "Meritocratic Labor Income Taxation" (written with Kristoffer Berg and Magnus Stubhaug).

December 11th-15th 2023 will see the second edition of the Oslo Bioinformatics Workshop Week at the University of Oslo, Norway. This event is organised by the Student Committee of the Centre for Bioinformatics at UiO, in collaboration with the ISCB Regional Student group in Norway. These workshops are open to the scientific community in Oslo and the surrounding area.
