Hallvard Fossheim is Committee leader for the National Committee for Research Ethics in Science and Technology (NENT) and Professor of philosophy at UiB. 

Tone Druglitrø is a researcher at the TIK Centre for Technology, Innovation and Culture at the University of Oslo. She has over several years been concerned with experimenting with care as an approach and tool for studying values in science and policy with a specific focus on animal research. Based upon a combination of archive studies, laboratory ethnographies, and document-oriented studies, her work has traced the historical development of “skilled care” as an expertise in science, and analyzed the convergence of biological standardization, conservation and technical care in public health. She has also published on “procedural care” in licensing systems. She is currently exploring versions of care in cod immunology together with Kristin Asdal (TIK).

Professor Elin Lerum Boasson was a lead author in the sixth assessment report cycle of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Working Group III Mitigation and is a member of the Swedish Climate Policy Council. She has published extensively on climate policy and politics, particularly on policy entrepreneurship, business influence, political steering, policy diffusion and the EU. Her work is primarily comparative and contributes to climate governance studies as well as to historical and sociological institutionalism. Boasson is deputy head of the Political Science Department at the University of Oslo and is also affiliated with CICERO, Center for International Climate Research. Her fifth book was published in 2021. The research project Accelerating Climate Action and the State: Getting to Net Zero (ACCELZ) - Institutt for statsvitenskap (ISV) (uio.no) is led by Boasson.

Yael Friedman is a PhD fellow at the Centre for Philosophy and the Sciences (CPS), Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art and Ideas. Her dissertation explores the concept of medical holism and its relation to pluralism ‘in’ science and ‘with’ science.

Philippe Huneman is a Professor at the IHPST (Institut d'Histoire et de Philosophie des Sciences et des Techniques), Université Paris 1. He focuses on the philosophy of evolutionary biology and ecology. His
main interests are: the variety of evolutionary explanations; the relations between variation, selection, and drift; the issue of individuality in biology related to the “evolutionary transitions” program and the formal definitions of emergence; the philosophy of ecology and especially neutral theories in community ecology. Last books published: Why? The philosophy behind the question (Stanford University Press) and Death. Perspectives from the Philosophy of Biology (Palgrave-McMillam).

Rose Trappes is a postdoctoral research fellow at Egenis, the Centre for the Study of Life Sciences at Exeter University, UK. Rose works in philosophy of biology and feminist philosophy. Her research currently focuses on concepts and research practices in ecology and related disciplines, exploring topics such as individuality, ecological niches, ecological mechanisms, animal tracking technology, data synthesis, and citizen science. Together with Sabina Leonelli, Rose is also working on conceptualisations of research environments.

Dr Bonnie Evans is a Senior Research Fellow at Queen Mary University of London, and author of The Metamorphosis of Autism (Manchester University Press). She has a PhD from the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, Cambridge University, and has held a research fellowship at King’s College, London's Centre for Medical Humanities. She has lectured in the international history of child sciences, psychology and eugenics. In addition to her academic work, she writes for popular publications such as Aeon Magazine, and has appeared on BBC television. 

Eric Turkheimer is a psychologist and behavioral geneticist, known for his research on the complex interplay between genetics and environmental factors in human behavior. His work has challenged the traditional nature vs. nurture dichotomy, demonstrating instead that genetic and environmental factors interact in complex and dynamic ways to shape human development and behavior. His influential "Three Laws of Behavior Genetics" have become a cornerstone of the field, guiding researchers and shaping public understanding of the interplay between genes and environment. He is currently the Hugh Scott Hamilton Professor of Psychology at the University of Virginia.

Dr Suki Finn is a Lecturer in Philosophy at Royal Holloway University of London and a visiting fellow with the CPS at the University of Oslo. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Southampton and has held other visiting fellowships at the University of Vienna (2023), Australian National University (2019), New York University (2018), and City University of New York Graduate Center (2014). Her areas of research span the philosophy of logic, metaphysics, philosophy of science, feminism, and epistemology. She has published a number of articles on these topics in Synthese, Bioethics, Journal of Medicine and Philosophy, European Journal of the Philosophy of Science, Australasian Journal of Logic, Philosophia, and more. She is the author of What’s in a Doughnut Hole? And other philosophical food for thought (Icon, 2024) and editor of Women of Ideas (Oxford University Press, 2021). Dr Finn. is a University and College Union representative, and is on the Executive Committee for the Society for Women in Philosophy UK and the Council for the Royal Institute of Philosophy. Geoffrey Galt Harpham is the author of thirteen books and over one hundred articles and essays in the fields of literary studies, philosophy, linguistics, and intellectual history.  His recent books are Scholarship and Freedom (Harvard Univ. Press) and Citizenship on Catfish Row:  Race and Nation in American Popular Entertainment (Univ. of South Carolina Press).  His Theories of Race 1684-1900, an anthology of scientific and philosophical discussions of the race concept, will be online in early summer 2023.  He has taught at Tulane University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Duke University, and from 2002-15, he was director of the National Humanities Center. 

Jon Røyne Kyllingstad (f.1966) er historiker og har jobbet med vitenskapshistorie og akademiske institusjoners historie i perioden ca. 1870-2000. Han har i mange år vært opptatt av ideer om rase, etnisitet, kultur og nasjon innen fag som antropologi, genetikk, arkeologi, historie. Siden 2017 har han arbeidet ved Kulturhistorisk museums avdeling Museum for universitets- og vitenskapshistorie, og har tidligere vært førstekonservator ved Norsk Teknisk Museum der han sammen med Ageliki Lefkaditou sto bak utstillingen FOLK – fra rasetyper til DNA-sekvenser.
