The main activity within the interdisciplinary initiative UiO:Democracy consists of research on democracy in its many facets, as a form of government and as a practice and way of life. The research groups are central to the initiative's activities and ambitions.
In this round, we are able to fund two to three research groups with one to three million NOK per project in addition to a PhD position. The deadline for applications is 15 September 2024.
Requirements for the application
- All research groups must be affiliated with at least two different faculties, in line with the initiative's interdisciplinary profile. Read more here.
- Proposed projects must situate themselves in relation to the foundational document of UiO:Democracy. This includes relating to at least one of the five thematic tracks.

- Page format should be A4 with 2 cm margins, size 11 (Calibri) and single line spacing.
- Please use The Norwegian Research Council's template for CVs. CVs should be a maximum of 4 pages each. You need only submit CVs for core members of the group (maximum 5).
