SPARK Norway Educational Forum are monthly open meetings organized by UiO:Life Science and SPARK Norway partners.

Having a new idea is not enough to create a new innovation. The hardest part is to build a successful business around it – this is the entrepreneurial challenge.

What does it take to become an entrepreneur? What are the biggest obstacles and the common pitfalls? What are the dos and don’ts?

Two highly knowledgeable life science entrepreneurs will share their experience from being an entrepreneur and building a business.

Kjetil HestdalKjetil Hestdal
CEO, Serca Pharmaceuticals 

Kjetil has 25+ years of extensive experience from the pharma and biotech industry.

He was one of the first employees at Photocure, and acted both as Vice President R&D and CEO. Prior to that he was medical expert in oncology at Novartis/Sandoz.

Kjetil is a medical doctor form University of Bergen with a PhD in immunology from University of Bergen/University of Oslo. 

 

Anders HolmAnders Holm
Chief Operating Officer/Head of BD, Zelluna Immunotherapy

Anders joined Zelluna Immunotherapy in 2017.

Prior to that he was a scientist at Oslo University Hospital for eight years before he started at Inven2 where one of his projects was preparation of the technology base, business case and initial funding for Zelluna.

Anders holds a PhD in analytical chemistry from the University of Oslo.
