Register for the Oslo Life Science Conference
– Building the Life Science City – 15th–17th February 2017
This is the 2nd conference hosted by UiO:Life Science for all of you who are interested in research, education, innovation, business and politics in life sciences.
The programs for the three days are published and you may register for the whole conference or parts of it.
Oslo University Hospital, the Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Norway (LMI) and the City of Oslo are co-organizers. There will be a reception in Oslo City Hall in the evening 16th February.
Save the dates for the life science lunches spring 2017
In the spring we will host life science lunches Wednesday 29th March and Wednesday 26th April in the Science Library. The overarching topic is innovation in life sciences. Researchers from the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Department of Psychology, the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Humanities will talk about their work.
Funding from UiO:Life Science
Funding of events – application deadline 31st January 2017
UiO:Life Science will fund events which support the UiO strategy for life sciences. The plan is to have calls with annual application deadlines 1st June and 1st December, but the first call will be out early in January 2017 with application deadline 31st January. Check uio.no/life-science in January for more information about the call and the criteria for funding.
Status funding of convergence environments: Call for full project proposals out now – application deadline 1st March 2017
The application process for the funding of convergence environments that will solve grand challenges related to health and the environment, started with a workshop in September. The deadline for sending project sketches was in the end of October. The sketches have been evaluated by international experts, and instructions for the full application have been sent to the applicants. The full project description must be sent no later than 1st March 2017.
