SPARK Norway to Silicon Valley

The Nordic SPARK programs which include UiO:Life Science' innovation program SPARK Norway, have successfully collaborated over several years to boost the emergence of new innovative solutions in the health tech and life science field.

Foundation stone ceremony for the Life Science building

On Thursday 4 May, the foundation stone for what will be Norway's largest university and hospital building will be laid.

Minister of Research and Higher Education Ola Borten Moe will lay the foundation stone together with Minister of Health and Welfare, Ingvild Kjerkol.

Invitation to seminar 24 May

All employees at the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital, who will have the building as a workplace, are invited to the seminar "How should we live together?"
The seminar will be in Norwegian.

Summer project for students resulted in research article

UiO:Life Science has since 2018 offered summer grants for students. The aim is for students to gain practical experience with interdisciplinary research that addresses a societal challenge in health or the environment. 

Julie Bommerlund has recently based on her summer project at Natural History Museum in 2021, co-published the article (PDF) eDNA-based detection as an early warning tool for detecting established and emerging invasive amphipods (researchgate.net)
