In October we hosted a Life Science Lunch on Gene editing with CRISPR – the technology, possibilities, use and ethical considerations.

See the program and watch the talk of Sigrid Bratlie from the Norwegian Biotechnology Advisory Board.

Life Science Lunch is a series of seminars that is a collaboration between faculties and departments, the Student Parliament, the Science Library and UiO:Life Science.

CRISPR was also on our program in June. Together with the Biotechnology Advisory Board we hosted a guest lecture with Swedish Fredrik Lanner. He presented the work on gene expression in early human embryos, and presented his plans to use CRISPR technology to edit genes in early human embryos.

Read more and see the recording of his talk.
