It was crowded at Frokostkjelleren in May when we hosted an academic after-party on memory at the UiO Festival.

How does our brain make and store memories? What are false memories? Can fake news make us remember things that did not happened? Can we trust testimonies? Can others manipulate our memories? What is possible today and what is science fiction? Neuro psychologist Ylva Østby, neuro scientist Martha Hvoslef-Eide and police captain and expert on testimonies Asbjørn Rachlew (PhD) gave short introductions before they debated with moderator Per Olav Alvestad known from the NRK programmes Newton, Schrödinger’s cat and Don´t do this at home.
