How can we identify disease earlier and discover when we should we terminate harmful treatment? In the DIATECH@UiO strategic research initiative at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, researchers aim to find the answer by examining the amount of biological markers in body fluids with the help of analytical chemistry, physics and materials technology to develop the diagnostic tools of tomorrow. The work is headed by Professor Elsa Lundanes at the Department of Chemistry. Seen here are PhD scholars in her group, Hanne Røberg-Larsen and Ole Kristian Brandtzæg.
