Outlook for Mobile (iOS and Android)

Outlook Mobile for iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android must not be used at UiO.

For security reasons, Outlook Mobile is blocked for use with staff and students' e-mail accounts at UiO.

Your email data is sent to and stored in Microsoft's cloud servers.

The Outlook app for iOS and Android does not connect directly to UiO's Exchange server. Instead, it connects to Microsoft 365 (the cloud) and the cloud service caches your email data. Microsoft's cloud service thus effectively acts as an intermediary.

The Outlook app does not make it clear to you as an end user that this is happening. In fact, the typical end user will have no idea this is happening.
