Welcome Ceremony

The University of Oslo greets all new students with a traditional ceremony at the University Square

Come and meet all the other new students at this traditional ceremony, which has been taking place since 1923 to mark the beginning of the semester.

If you are an exchange student or a bachelor's degree student, you will go with your buddy group to the Welcome Ceremony.

Be present at the University square ahead of time, preferably around 14:30. THe ceremony commences at 15:00 and is finished 15:30.
