The programme option is directed at students with a basic competence in Chinese language, and a special interest in aspects of Chinese civilization, including history, literature, thought, and religion. Students will engage in in-depth studies and analysis of topics that are crucial for a historical understanding of Chinese civilization, such as conceptual schemes, cultural literacy, popular culture, literary structures, modernization, education, self-cultivation etc.
