Career opportunities

MA Degree in East Asian linguistics gives you competence in East Asian languages as well as general insight into linguistics. You can find career opportunities in information work, publishing, education and translation. The degree qualifies you for a wide range of careers in which Chinese or Japanese language and knowledge of East Asia are required. The Faculty also has a PhD programme in linguistics with the option of specialisation for students who wish to complete a project at PhD level.
