Why choose this programme option?

A Master in Tibetan Studies (MTS) is offered under the Program for Asian and African Studies. The MTS aims to give students knowledge and insight into various aspects of Tibetan culture in a historical and a contemporary context. Specialist literature related to Tibetan studies will be central elements of the course. Academic training will also be provided through the writing of a dissertation. The MTS consists of two parts:

Part I: A syllabus in theory and method, Tibetan literary culture and language, and academic literature (realia) on Tibet.

Part II: A Master dissertation
