Research seminar in Human Geography

Solution oriented research, spatial tranfer of (socio-technical) innovations and energy transitions in the Global South. Findings from the Solar Transitions and Solar xChange projects.

It is time for our first Research Seminar of 2019. We are delighted to have Kirsten Ulsrud as our speaker. Kirsten is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography at the University of Oslo, and specializes in the organization and sustainability of decentralized renewable power supply, technology transfer between places, and the role of technology in social change. She leads the research project Solar xChange, where she cooperates with partners from Kenya, India, Sweden and Norway. Kirsten is also a partner in the research project Exploring Factors that Enhance and Restrict Women's Empowerment through Electrification (EFEWE).
