Learning outcomes

Through this programme of study you learn about fundamental topics in solid-state physics, and learn to work with quantum mechanics, statistical physics and electromagnetism. The Master’s degree programme introduces you to an active and future-oriented research environment with expertise within both experimental activities and theoretical work. A typical experimental thesis will involve understanding and using modern high technology and developing samples of materials for further study. You will also learn to handle experimental data, to distinguish between valid and invalid conclusions, and present results in a comprehensible manner.
