I tillegg kan du kjøpe inn maks to enheter dekket over ordinære driftsmidler. Utstyret må brukes ut den anbefalte brukstiden (normalt 3 år) før du kan kjøpe nytt. Eksempler på enheter kan være en laptop, ipad osv.
PSI ønsker som en hovedregel ikke innkjøp av egen pc til hjemmekontor. Ved arbeid hjemme foreslås det at laptop brukes, evt i kombinasjon med dockingstasjon og egen skjerm. Hvis du kjøper inn utstyr til bruk hjemme regnes dette som en av de to enhetene du kan kjøpe med driftsmidler.
Ved valg av modeller skal UiOs anbefalinger følges:

Alt IT-utstyr skal kjøpes inn via UiOs avtaler og gjennomføres av en ansatt i it-seksjonen

Alt utstyr skal leveres tilbake til PSI når du slutter ved PSI

Hvis du ønsker å kjøpe den nyeste eller dyreste versjonen av en mobiltelefon eller laptop, skal dette ha en god faglig eller praktisk begrunnelse.
Ved innkjøp av laptop bør fellesinnkjøpet til it-seksjonen i desember og juni benyttes. Dette gir bedre priser på utstyret du ønsker, og du vil da kunne bruke en større andel av driftsmidlene dine på andre ting.

Guidelines for purchase of IT equipment with your research money (annum) at The Department of Psychology
Your workplace at the Department will be equipped with a computer and phone that is covered by the Department IT budget.
In addition, you can buy maximum two units covered by your research money. This equipment must be used throughout its normal lifetime (usually three years) before you can replace it. One unit can be for example laptop, IPad etc.
As a main rule the Department does not support purchase of a computer for your home office. If you work at home, we recommend that you use your laptop, optionally in combination with a docking station and a bigger screen. If you buy equipment to use at home, this will be regarded as one of the two units you can buy with your research money.
When you buy IT equipment you must buy models that are recommended by UiO:

Purchase of IT equipment must go through the UiO purchase agreements and be handled by an IT consultant

When you quit your job at PSI, all IT equipment must be returned to the Department

If you want to buy the newest or most expensive version of a mobile phone or a laptop, this must be justified with good practical or research-related reasons.
If you plan to purchase a laptop, we recommend you to do it via the joint purchasing that takes place in June and December. This will give cheaper equipment.
