Call for applications for funding of teaching and research activities 2021

IFIKK announces its annual call for applications for strategic funding, primarily for teaching activities, but also for research projects that will lead up to applications within the thematic areas. In addition, we encourage those of you who have been granted funds for 2020 that could not be used due to the covid-19 pandemic, to resubmit their application. This is of course subject to the possibility to conduct the activities for which the funds originally were meant in 2021.

Only permanent academic staff may apply, within the deadline December 1st. Possible applications for transfer of unused personal allowances (driftsmidler) to 2021 must be submitted by the same deadline.

In connection with this, we would like to remind you that from this year onwards, personal allowances are no longer transferred automatically. However, in connection with a sabbatical or similar, bigger activities, it will still be possible to transfer funds.

Criteria for funds for 2021

Priority will be given to applications that focus on:

  • Strengthening teaching quality, production of credits and timely completion of degrees
  • Projects leading up to applications within the thematic areas

The funds must be used in 2021 and only permanent staff may apply. PhD-candidates will have a separate call for applications for PhD-related activities with the same deadline.

Both individuals and groups may apply, but good applications which will benefit many will be prioritized. It will not be possible to prioritize research groups or individual researchers who receive funding from others sources.

The call is meant to be broad, but the allocations will be strategic. The leader group will take former allocations and their outcomes into consideration.

Please go to the application form to apply electronically. The form is for both application for funding of research and teaching AND transfer of your personal allowance. Note that the form is in Norwegian.

Only electronic applications will be considered, and the deadline is absolute.

All applications must contain a budget for the amount applied for. The budget has to show the costs for the different activities the application comprises of. Please note that it is not possible to apply for subsistence allowance from this budget. This is in accordance to the Department Board's decision on the austerity plan for IFIKK (cf. Department board decision of 14.06.2018).
