Welfare among Children and Young People in the Post-Pandemic Nordics

The call has an emphasis on education, wellbeing, mental health, and living conditions of children and young people. Call Deadline is 8 December 2022 and available budget is NOK 77 million.

The overall objective of the call is to support and accelerate cutting edge Nordic research with high potential for renewal and impact on the welfare among children and young people in the post-pandemic Nordics. The call has an emphasis on education, wellbeing, mental health, and living conditions of children and young people.

The objective of the call is also to support research on the mitigation of the effects of the pandemic and the restrictions on the welfare of children and young people. Thus, the call seeks to:

  • improve our understanding of the welfare for children and young people and the consequences of the pandemic and the restrictions on education, wellbeing, mental health, and living conditions
  • address how to best reduce the negative effects and consequences of the pandemic and the restrictions for children and young people, through for example intervention studies
  • address how resilience among children and young people can be promoted, through for example health promotion and prevention studies
  • further knowledge into societal crisis preparedness, learning from the COVID-19 pandemic and building resilience at different levels of our societies with the purpose of supporting the welfare of children and young people
