Change a course
1.Notify the area teacher ("områdelærer) of the planned change. An increase in resource use beyond the usual rates must be approved by the head of education.
2.Clarify with the program council secretary if and when the change must be approved by the program council.
3.Consult with the study administration/study advisor:
The administration provides advice and assistance on how to design your course in accordance with the University and College Act, and current rules and routines. Changes in teaching and/or exams must always be checked by the administration.
4.Submit the case document to the program council before the deadline: Fill out this form.
When the change is approved by the program council, the study advisor registers the course with the faculty and register the course in EpN.
Create a new course
1.Clarify with the area teacher ("områdelærer") if it is possible to create a new course. You and the area teacher must also plan when the course can be offered for the first time and if the course should replace another course.
2.Check if there is an existing course that you can modify or contribute to: Emner innen statsvitenskap – Universitetet i Oslo (uio.no)
3.Clarify with the program council secretary when the course description must be approved by the program council and the deadline for submitting the case document to the program council secretary.
4.Always consult with the study administration/study advisor:
The administration provides advice and assistance on how you can design your course to comply with the University and College Act (UH-loven), current rules, and routines.
5.Submit the case document to the program council before the deadline: Fill out this form.
After the course description is approved, the study advisor informs the faculty and register the course in EpN.
Tip!
A generic course description gives course convenor more flexibility to make minor changes without involving the program council.
