«After completing my undergraduate degree in Spanish, I made several explorations about what I wanted to do for my future career. I tried studying Spanish (Lleida), history (Madrid), Sumerian (Munich), and iberoamerican studies (Leuven) throughout Europe and worked for a year and a half as a Spanish translator at the Pan-American Center of the Shanghai Institute of Quality and Standardization. In 2019, I decided to further study the translation of Latin American literature. In 2021, I was accepted to the University of Oslo as a PhD researcher in literature and translation studies.

The focus of my work at ILOS will be to investigate how the institutions of Chinese translations of Latin American writers worked in the early years of China's founding in the social context of literacy.

Before the epidemic, I liked to spend my free time traveling or watching movies. During the epidemic, I spend most of my free time talking with my family and thinking about the possible reasons and solutions regarding the vulnerability of our society.»
