Dr. Si Li is a Lecture and Assistant Researcher at the Research Centre for Human Rights, Guangzhou University. Her research focuses on gender equality and non-discrimination. During this seminar, she will introduce the historical and current situation of LGBT people in China, examine the legal status of these people and explore whether and how their rights have been protected under the current Chinese legal system. Si Li will also give comments on the unresolved problems with regard to LGBT issues.
