LINK contributes to achieving the University of Oslo's ambitions for education, learning environments and knowledge in use, with a particular responsibility for ensuring the sharing of expertise and supporting research, innovation and development activities.
Core Tasks
The Centre shall stimulate a diverse development of teaching and learning processes by
- Offering Program for Basic Competence in University Pedagogy
- Providing services, courses and advice on the application of technology and digital media in teaching, learning and assessment
- Offering consultation to the University of Oslo's various faculties and units
- Carrying out, evaluating and assisting in the coordination of development projects aimed at students' learning environment, basic academic skills and learning outcomes
- Visualising and coordinating information about ongoing activities relevant to the development of university pedagogical competence, educational quality work, teaching and learning
- Being a driving force and contributor in the University of Oslo's strategic quality work and in the realisation of joint initiatives aimed at education

History
LINK was established by the Board of the University of Oslo in June 2017, and is a merger of three different units at the University of Oslo
- the Department of University Pedagogy (FUP)
- Digital Media in Learning (DML)
- the Research and Dissemination Support Unit at the Faculty of Education (FFS)
The Faculty of Educational Sciences is the host faculty for LINK.
