They should read them bearing in mind issues of honour, chivalry, and courtliness, which will be the core subjects for the discussions in the second half of each class. As for secondary literature, reading in Keen, Chivalry, Hyams, Henry II and GAnelon, and Miller, Bloodtaking chapters 6 to 8, will all provide useful ideas."
