Hva skjedde egentlig i kolonitiden i Latin-Amerika og i Karibia? (1492-1820-årene)

UNDERVISNINGSPLAN MED PENSUMLISTE

Dette emnet skal gi både en generell oversikt i latinamerikansk kolonihistorie og nærmere kjennskap til debatten omkring fem sentrale temaer innenfor feltet.

Undervisningen foregår i seminarer i begynnelsen av høstsemesteret 2004, på åtte fredager fra og med 27. august til og med 15. oktober. Det vil være to dobbelttimer hver fredag, bortsett fra første gang 27. aug. og følgende datoer: 24. sept., 8. okt. og 15. okt. Undervisningen i dette emnet er med andre ord intensiv og det forutsettes at studentene leser den oppsatte litteraturen til hvert seminar. En oversikt over temaer vi skal diskutere og litteratur som skal leses til hver gang følger nedenfor.

Store deler av pensumlitteraturen vil foreligge i kompendie, og disse er merket med en * nedenfor. Kompendiet vil bli lagt ut for salg i Akademika før semesterstart. I tillegg bør dere kjøpe følgende bøker:
