Detta leseemne handlar om den moderna globaliseringen. Tyngdpunkten ligger på andra halvan av 1900-talet men litteraturen ger också i centrala frågor perspektiv bakåt i tiden. I en av böckerna behandlas olika perspektiv på globalhistoria, politiska, kulturella, ekonomiska, ekologiska och teknologiska. I andra delar av litteraturen görs en särskild fokusering på teman som arbetets förändring, på demokratins ändrade förutsättningar, på det internationella ekonomiska systemets förändring samt på uppdelningen av världen i fattiga och rika länder och i vilken mån denna uppdelning kan tolkas i termer av globala system.
En av böckerna – Jarrick och Johansson, Jorden runt igen…, kan studenterna få tillgång till genom läraren. De övriga böckerna finns på bibliotek eller bokhandeln.
