Course content

The course code is used in order to offer different types of research courses. The courses may be connected to a guest lecturer, a current research project, a conference or a research seminar.

Theme for Spring 2014: Negotiating Religion: Purity, Transculturality and Secularity

Theme for Spring 2012: Cultural Translation and Cultural Hybridity - Early Modern Cases (Kulturoversettelse og kulturell hybriditet – tidlige moderne cases)

Learning outcome

The course will give the student insight about the current research in cultural history. The level of the teaching will be close to a research level. Therefore, the course assumes basic knowledge within the theme. The specific theme and learning outcome for the course will be announced each semester.

Teaching

The teaching consists of seminars or participation in research conferences. Students are expected to participate actively in class.

Examination

A 10-page term paper.
