Karanths forelesning: What does Politics Mean to People in (South) India? Some Reflections. Outline of lecture: The term ‘politics’ has come to mean a lot differently than what it has been understood by students of politics. So much so, inter-relationships between people in nearly all social and economic settings to escape what is ‘non-politics’ is hard to find or discern. An attempt is made to bring together some reflections on this changing and varied meanings and contexts of politics in (South) rural India.
