The oral exams for students in ENG4349 will take place on Thursday, May 12th. Only students whose term papers have been approved will be able to take the oral exam. Information on the time and place of the exam will be available from dept. office on the 7th floor of Niels Treschows hus (718 NT). The oral exam can cover any aspect of the syllabus, including also the term paper you have written. It will take about twenty minutes. It will be conducted entirely in English and both teachers will be present.

The final deadline for turning in essays both for students in ENG2309 and ENG4349 is in class on Tuesday, April 26th. This deadline is obligatory and final. If you cannot hand in your essay by this deadline (1600 hrs.), you must have a doctor’s certificate (sykeattest/sykemelding) to get an extension. If you cannot attend class that day and hand the essay in in person, you may email it as an attachment to Nils Axel Nissen (literature essays; n.a.nissen@ilos.uio.no) or Drew Rodgers (civilization essays; drew.rodgers@oks.hio.no) by 1600 hrs. on Tuesday, April 26th. Students who submit electronically will get confirmation of receipt of their essay. However you submit your essay, you must also submit a completed form entitled “Obligatorisk erklæring vedr. fusk,” which you can find online at here http://www.hf.uio.no/studier/eksamensplan/obligerklaering.html if you do not already have a copy.

Muntlig eksamen for de som har ståkarakter på sin semesteroppgave avholdes torsdag, 12. mai 2005.

Endelig frist for innlevering av semesteroppgaven er satt til 26. april. Alle semesteroppgaver leveres til Drew Rodgers i løpet av timen eller sendes evt. på e-mail til n.a.nissen@iba.uio.no hvis man skriver om litteratur.
