Due to illness (children), today's seminar has been CANCELLED. We will simply move the whole seminar series one week back, looking at economic development next week instead

Next week we will be working with exercises for the first half of the seminar - the questions and a related newspaper article have been posted in the folder named 'Exercises' in Fronter.

ENG 4515-students also need to submit a preliminary proposal for essay topic on Tuesday 23 Sept at the lastest. We will discuss essay topics during class on Friday. Use the folder named 'ENG 4515 Essay topics' in the folder for 'Innleveringer' in Fronter.

We are unfortunately experiencing problems with the Fronter-room for this course. I have been reassured that it will be sorted out shortly, but in the meantime I will keep bringing photocopies of handout to the seminar. Power-point presentations will be available in Fronter as soon as the problem has been fixed. ALW

Dear students, welcome to a new semester! A detailed course plan for ENG 4515 will be published in Fronter (fronter.uio.no) before the first seminar on Friday 27 August. In the meantime, note that on the second seminar (3 Sept) there will be a guestlecture: "Scotland and the Second World War: a Military History" by Dr. Jeremy Crang, Uni. of Edinburgh, and that this will be held at a different location: Auditorium 3 Sophus Bugge. Best wishes, Atle Wold
