Use 12-point font (Times, Times New Roman, Calibri) and 1,5 line spacing
Your motivation paper can be written in English, Norwegian or a Scandinavian language.

Include your full name as well as your MA-programme (Media Studies, Journalism, Political Communication: Nordic Perspectives)

Write approximately 1 page reflecting upon the points below

  1. What is your academic background?

  2. Why have you chosen to study for an MA in media studies/Journalism/political

    communication?

  3. Expectations MA-thesis? What do you expect writing a master’s thesis will require from

    you? What do you expect from the department in terms of practical and scholarly

    support?

  4. Which topics interest you in terms of writing your master’s thesis?

  5. Indicate two supervision-groups that would be relevant for your master’s thesis (the supervision-groups will be presented at the kick-off days (24-26 August).

You will be placed in a supervision-group based on your motivation-paper. You can expect to have four group-meetings with your supervisor. You will be expected to read and respond to drafts from other students in your group.

If you do not submit your motivation-paper, you will not receive supervision on your project description (term-paper).
