This course explores connections between music(s) and various concepts of culture; that is across disciplines such as cultural studies, popular music studies, sound studies, music anthropology, music sociology, and ethnomusicology.

Teaching starts Tuesday Aug. 20. Main textbook is: Barker and  Jane. Cultural Studies: Theory and Practice.
