REG. LECTURE THIS MORNING (24 OCTOBER)

Dear students,

Please accept my sincere apologies for the contradictory information that was posted with regard to the venue of the lecture this morning. The published Course Outline said Aud. 6 DA, while the list published under "Teaching - Time and place" said Aud. 14 DB. This is entirely my fault, and I apologise to all students who were affected. I kindly ask affected students to send me an e-mail (k.m.larsen@nchr.uio.no) in order for me to get an understanding of the scope of the problem, and to get a basis for considering what should be done to remedy the situation.

Yours sincerely, Kjetil M. Larsen, course coordinator

IMPORTANT ABOUT MONDAY 10 SEPTEMBER

As you may have noticed, there is a collision between the IHL lecture on Monday 10 September (12:15-14:00) and the interview with Judge Simma (13:00-15:00, http://www.jus.uio.no/english/research/areas/intrel/events/guest-lectures/2012/20120910-interview-simma.html). To avoid the collision, and to encourage everyone to attend Simma's interview, the lecture on Monday will be changed. At 12:15, Associate Professor Gentian Zyberi will address the International Court of Justice's impact on international humanitarian law, and before 13:00 we will head towards Gamle Festsal for the interview. This provides us with an excellent opportunity to raise questions that may be posed to Judge Simma, while also highlighting issues that are highly relevant for the course. Cecilie Hellestveit's lecture on non-international armed conflicts will be held at another occasion - watch this site for update...
